What defines you?

I think my authenticity is who am defines me. Through my music, modeling, and just everything in my life. My biggest goal is always to be just as me as possible. I think clothes are made to accentuate our own natural beauty and not hide it, so I would say yes, my body is the perfect dress for me.

Do you remember when you first felt your sexuality?

I think I was probably about 8 or 9, and I remember seeing that Britney Spears music video where she was covered in just nothing but glitter from head to toe, and I was like: I think I like that.

How do you identify your gender?

I identify as male, but I fully embrace all my feminine qualities and never wanna feel limited to just the heteronormative definition of masculinity. What do you love/hate the most in the concept of clothes? I think one of the most beautiful things about clothing is that it tells the story of who we are, it shows the kind of things we value, what we identify with as people, and I think that should always be encouraged.

Would you rather exist nude or dressed up?

Contrary to what people who know me personally might think, I actually do like wearing clothes. I see dressing up as an opportunity to express yourself, and I think there’s something cool and magical about that.

Do you wear skirts and dresses?

I’ve definitely worn dresses on occasion, I think there’s very few things that speak as loud to the eyes as a man wearing a dress and honestly I think it’s a cool bold look.

Should there be male and female fashion, or all unisex?

I think one of the coolest things about fashion and art in general is that there’s no real rules, I think that people should just wear whatever makes them happy.

Name your favorite kinds of clothes.

Being a quarter Japanese, I might be a little biased, but I love kimonos, I think they’re super comfy, they look awesome. I also love a good jacket, can’t really go wrong with that.

Do you express yourself through clothes, or you don’t give a fuck and just wear something on?

Nowadays with modeling, a lot of the time if I don’t have to look good, I won’t, but I really do enjoy the art of dressing. I love the idea that one night I could be a classic suit-and-tie kind of man, and another night I could be a grungy rock star, and another night I could be someone completely new from the night before that. You only have one life, so why wouldn’t you want to be the most vivid, extraordinary version of yourself that you can be.
